When I first went to therapy, I was in a wheelchair and on oxygen 24 hours a day. In only a few treatments, I was up and walking, and within two months, I was completely off the oxygen.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation was a new concept to me when I read about it in the local newspaper. My doctor said it was a good idea for me, so he referred me to Valley CORF. What a great program! The therapists were very helpful and showed me the routine. They supervised my usage of the machines and monitored my progress as I gradually improved

I have been coming to therapy at this clinic for the last 6 weeks and I am amazed at what they have done for me; it’s a miracle. I was not able to make my bed or go for a shower without experiencing severe shortness of breath. I not only can perform these activities with ease, I will now be travelling for the first time in 6 years to see my grandchild.

I have been a regular at Valley CORF for well over a year, initially in their pulmonary rehab program and then in their physical therapy program, each tailored to my specific needs, then in the last few months in the maintenance program to maintain the results. What impresses me most is the warmth, caring and professional skills of the very devoted staff. I came to feel like part of the family there.

Since shortly after starting to attend the therapy sessions at Valley CORF, I have been free of excruciating pains in my lower legs (felt after laying in bed for a short time). These pains could last for 15-20 minutes despite constant massage. I credit the various physical exercises taught at Valley with curing me completely in a relatively short time. I have now been free of these pains for over half a year.

I was in a terrible skiing accident and severally damaged my shoulder, wrists, and sternum and my doctor to me that I would eventually need physical therapy. Luckily a friend recommended Valley CORF, and I’m glad they did. Within a short amount of time I was able to restrengthen my arms and relearned how to breath.

It doesn’t translate to numbers on spirometry or medication effect; it’s the ability to learn how much people can do when provided the encouragement, support and education of…
